San Mateo Adult School Director Tim Doyle, Assistant Director Eric Saavedra, Student Council President Wendy Samayoa, Vice President Jackie Euna Lleureax and Secretary Williams Avelino, and ACCEL Consortium Executive Director Dr. Ka'Ryn Holder-Jackson gave a special presentation about our school and consortium to the San Mateo Union High School District Board of Trustees at the February 22nd meeting.
Director Tim Doyle shared a big picture view of our school - past, present and future.

Assistant Director Eric Saavedra provided details on programs and courses.
ACCEL Executive Director Dr. Ka'Ryn Holder-Jackson set out a county-wide view, explaining the need for Adult Education in San Mateo County and setting forth ACCEL's plans to meet this need.
Student Council Leaders Vice President Jackie Euna Lleureux and Secretary Williams Avelino introduced themselves. Student Council President Wendy gave an excellent speech about student leadership. Read her speech here.
The Board was impressed with all that we are accomplishing at San Mateo Adult School and in our consortium, ACCEL. They asked questions and hailed the student presence and speech.
Superintendent Kevin Skelly shared that he, too, is an immigrant, coming to the US when he was a child.
Board President Linda Lees Dwyer praised the Adult School and recommended that people visit it.
It was clear to everyone at the meeting that San Mateo Adult School is a place of purpose, planning, accomplishment, and inspiration serving students, district, community, and county.
